Green party contemplates Fianna Fail coalition (Belfast Telegraph)

The Green party has refused to rule out a coalition with Fianna Fail after the next general election.

Yesterday Fine Gael’s leader Enda Kenny said he would be willing to invite the Greens in to a rainbow coalition with the Labour Party.

Last year Green Party members voted against forming any coalition pacts before this year’s general election.

However party TD Ciar€n Cuffe said if the numbers stack up, he could be in favour of a Fianna Fail - Green Government:

“I would hate to rule out the biggest party in the state. Certainly I’d be more comfortable working with other parties,” he said.

“There are individuals in Fianna Fail that I don’t get on particularly well with. But I think we all have to be mature and grown up about this. We need to start looking at what policies can be implemented and by whom.
