Bradbury-Huang finished 1st with 51.1% in a two way race against a well-funded, long-term Republican incumbent. She won by 232 votes (5299-5067) in a major upset victory. Overall, six out of eight Green incumbents were re-elected.
The two that were the the Minneapolis Green City Councilmembers elected in 2001 - Natalie Johnson Lee and Dean Zimmerman. Both suffered from a redistricting plan design to take them out of office, as they were forced to run in new districts against incumbents.
