Tehran- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday hoped that
Iran would achieve full nuclear technology within the current Iranian
year which ends on March 20, 1997. “I am very hopeful that within the
current Iranian year, the Iranian nation can hold a big feast for
having fully achieved nuclear technology,” Ahmadinejad said in a press
conference in Tehran.

Ahhmadinejad’s comment was apparently a reference to Iran’s drive
to establish the complete cycle including the production and processing
of nuclear fuel, know-how which the West has been seeking to thwart for
fear that Teheran could also use it to produce nuclear weapons.
