Dylan Malone’s son, Ian, was born with severe brain damage due to medical errors. The insurance company didn’t want to pay for his care, and Ian died before his fifth birthday. One hundred thousand people are killed every year by medical errors, but President Bush and the insurance, HMO and drug companies think the solution is to limit the victims’ rights to sue when they’ve been hurt.
