Terror Threat Detected; Authorities Order Swift Action

New York City, NY  |  Compelling intelligence information that financial and government centers may be targets of a terrorist attack has prompted a massive build-up of security.

The warning, based largely on information from 1999 and 2000, prompted Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge to raise the Terrorist Threat Level Indicator to “orange” in New York City and Washington, DC.

Officials have sealed off streets in both cities and are subjecting employees to extra bag checks and deep cavity strip searches.

In addition, swat teams have been deployed to Dealey Plaza in Dallas after startling audio evidence hinted that there would be an assassination attempt against the President on or around November 22, 1963.

Ridge says his office has also received “fresh and alarmingly specific information” that there may be a surprise air attack against Pearl Harbor in Hawaii sometime before Christmas, 1942.

In a related story, the FBI has issued an arrest warrant for Benedict Arnold, who is wanted for questioning by the House Un-American Activities Committee.
