“In this White House pool report, the president “helps the local economy.” Neat trick for someone who normally doesn’t carry money with him.

“the president was drinking some pink lemonade from a cup and praising “heather” the girl who was ostensibly running the enterprise. “trying to help the local economy,” he quipped and invited reporters to join him. Some did.

“This is not the kind of job creation we were thinking of. Guess when he talks about rising employment figures, he means for eight-year-old girls.” -Wonkette

After leaving the estate where the two fundraisers were held in raleigh, the bush motorcade stopped about a mile later. The president had stopped at a children ’s lemonade stand by the side of the road outside a modern, suburban home. By the time yr pooler hurried up to the scene, the president was drinking some pink lemonade from a cup and praising “heather” the girl who was ostensibly running the enterprise. “trying to help the local economy,” he quipped and invited reporters to join him. Some did. People who were there at the beginning said mr bush paid with cash from his pocket, an unusual occurrence for presidents who often do not carry cash (what for?). “It’s real hot,” said Mr. Bush who looked flushed by the heat and refreshed by the drink.
